CONFESION TIME!!!!!! Tally has FINALLY spilled the beans. Now David knows it is ALL her fault. I think Tally wil regret doing that for a little while but will realize that it was th right thing to do. I also think that once David cools off he will realize that she didn't want to betray the Smoke. That she truly did want to stay there with him and didn't want to be pretty anymore. So, Here's the BIG question: Should Maddy have been like...gulp...DR.CABLE(dun, dun, duunn) and forced the cure down shay's throat? Ok, maybe it isn't EXACTLY what the question was but that's the idea. I say no. But before some of you start getting all huffy let me tell you why. If she had forced Shay to take it and it had gone wrong, how do you think Tally would feel when she had a vegetable for a friend? VERY SAD! And probably MAD at herself. I was just reading about the cure and how Shay refused to take it. Now if I were Shay....well.... I'm not sure what I would do, honestly. If I had control of mind I would try it but since I would be pretty and have those lesions. I would hope that I could choose for myself and then I would be able to take the cure and be myself again only prettier. Why?! 'Cause I want to think for myself. PEEPS PLEASE RESPOND!!!!!!

Heya! Ok, now on to more important matters. I am going to give you my opinion on a quote whether you like it or not! Here it goes, "Tally thought of the lesions on Shay's brain, the tiny cancers or wounds or whatever they are that she didn't even know she had.They were in there somewhere changing ger friend's thoughts, warping her feelings, gnawing at the roots of who she was." This is just saying that Tally can't help but think about how her best friend is being changed very drastically. Not just on the out side but the inside too. She was so content with being herself before and now she is all about parties and looking pretty. She is no longer the friend that Tally once knew. Now Tally just wants her friend back not this pretty person hoverboarding with her. PLEASE RESPOND OH WORTHY AND LOYAL PEEPS!!!!!

Here is an ultra short summary-like thingy that I am going to tell you. Tally finds out that Shay is pretty. Shay tells Tally that she forgives her. They talk. David goes to help the smokies. Shay helps them get the smokies and escape. David saves his mom and the others. Tally helps save Croy. They leave but David doesn't know where his dad is. They go into the elevator and get the hoverboards. They get to the roof. David finds out that his dad is dead. After taking a second to process the news he blocks the rest of the roof accesses. They pair up on the four hoverboards. They leave and start toward a cave where they'll be safe. Tally and Shay talk on the way. DONE!! Okay, now the real kicker is that David's dad was killed by the you-know-whos. That was REALLY sad. Boo Hoo, cry cry! PLEASE RESPOND LOYAL PEEPS!!!!!

Okay, straight to buisness we go. I am really excited to give you this quote! Here it goes: " 'Radiology, Nuerology, Magnetic Imaging,' she (Tally) read softly. 'Operating Theatre Two.' " I wanted to tell you this 'cause I don't tatally understand it. What I think it means is that it is Tally's way of joking about all the creepy stuff that is down this hallway. She understands that all this stuff is for the operation and is probably used to DESTROY the pretties minds. I would probably be sarcastic about that stuff if Iwas in that situation but I would say it like this, "Wow, looks like BUNCHES of FUN." So, I see how she would do that. In case you peeps are wondering, I'll tell you what all that stuff is. Nuerology is brain stuff. Radiology is some other wierd thing that has to do with the brain, I think. And I think Magnetic Imaging is where they take pictures of your insides using magnets. Don't quote me on that stuff 'cause I'm not sure about 2 out of 3 of that stuff. Now lets talk about Shay being PRETTY!!! "She was tall and elegant, every feature perfection. Her eyes- deep and soulful, flecked with copper and gold- widened wth a troubled look. Her generous lips parted wordlessly, and she raised one graceful hand. Tally's heart almost stopped at the beauty of her confisoion. So, Tally's new "friends" are helping out by pulling the you-know-whos' attention away so she and David can try to find his parents. The uglies make a sign that says "THE SMOKE LIVES". So this made me think REAL hard about what I would say if I had ONE chance to post a message that was important to me. So I came up with this: "BELIEVE!" Now I know that this sounds hippieish, but it could mean anything. For one, Believe in yourself. Another, Believe in others. And anything else that you think would fit. It is very inspirational, isn't it? YES!! I need to hear that once in a while 'cause I have a HORRIBLE self-esteem. So it is definently an important message to me. The uglies that she and David met are much like how she was. But she is now almost completely different from them. For one, they only care about tricks but she has seen the danger that is in life and so other things are now more important. Another thing is, they are so cocky and sure that the wild is easy to handle but Tally has been in the wild and know how unpredictable it is. This and many other things are all because of on thing. Any guesses? Come on. Wait. Did I hear someone say because she at too much fish? Well, that may be part of the reason but it's not what I was thinking of. Any more guesses? No? Here's what I was thinking. She has lived in the Smoke, unpapered, with people who have helped her see life in a different way. A way that is not about having the coolest party or the bst trick but being content with the little you have and doing it with those who love you for you and not for your "pretty" face. Ha! Sorry, this color reminds me of poop. I'm going to change it. Hold on. There, that's much better. So Tally has a genious plan that will almost definently work. The only problems with her plan are, 1 David has never done anything like this before and might mess it up to where they get caught. And 2 they might over shoot the building and get caught by the you-know-whos. But other than those small problems, it's fool-proof. But lets talk about her reasoning 'cause there have been some arguments about this. David is doing this to save his parental units, but why is Tally risking everything over this? The answer is so simple a caveman could figure it out,no offense cavepeople. She feels some MEGA guilt. It is kinda, sorta, not really her fault. What I mean is that she is the one that lead the you-know-whos to the Smoke, BUT....but she did it by accident. So she feels that she needs to make it up to David even though he shas no clue it was her and she did it totally by accident. I am VERY proud of her for that. She is doing what she sees fit for this situation. Risking her life and mind in exchange for the possiblity that the Smoke may live again. Kinda like a life for a life. Only no one has died and Tally can't die 'cause it isn't the end of the book or series yet. PLEASE RESPOND PRETTY PEOPLES!!!!!!!

Tally and David are discussing the Rusties. Now you have to remember that the Rusties are suppose to be a slightly farther in the future us. They think that most of us are crazy and only a few were sane. But that's not completly true. We aren't crazy we're just not thinking of what might happen if we keep wasteing all our resources. Some are but they aren't anymore sane than the rest of us they are just planners.David says that all societys have a weakness. Our's is probably oil 'cause we use it for most EVERYTHING. and I'm not just saying that 'cause it's in the book. It's dead-on honest. But Tally's old home, the city, has a weakness too. The OPERATION. 'How could this be,'you ask. Well it's simple. If the operation some how failed then their would be mass caos because of how much they say they are UGLY without the operation. Tally and David go to find his parents and when they don't seem to be there David shows Tally his parents stash of survival gear. I started to think of something that we were NOT prepared for. I came up with the Twin Towers. No one imagined that some crazy terroists would fly AMERICAN planes, that were full of american citizens by the way, into these magnifecent towers of beauty. Did you know that two other planes were suppose to crash into two otheer national monuments? One was going to be the White House. They ended up crashing early. And did you know that the Twin Towers were some of the most famous office buildings EVER!? Of course you do, 'cause they're sooo famous. I wasn't even in school when the Twin Towers were destroyed. Tally is all, like, 'I saved the magizense' when, if she hadn't come, the Smoke would be safe and not burned to a crisp. I understand that she was trying to save Shay and become pretty 'cause that's how she was raised. I understand she was trying to destory the pendent when it sent the signal. I also understand that the Smoke is now a pile of ash. I'm not trying to make you cry Tally, lets be honest a few tears wouldn't hurt, but your the reason that all of this is happening. Okay, DR.CABLE (dun, dun, dunn) says that Tally has "self preservation", but , honestly, I'm not sure what exactly "self preservation" is, but what I think it means is you try to protect yourself at all costs. Now, I think this is very important, but you should also try to protect the ones around you, like friends, family, and other loved ones, 'cause without them you wouldn't have anyone to enjoy life with. But , if by saving yourself you save them, then you should definently do it. Like they say on airplanes, put your mask on before assisting anyone else. And if lieing like Tally did is the only way to save you and the others, then lie your pants off, but not literally! I would totally do it if it ment the lives of my loved ones being speared. Tally's life is getting more complicated by the minute. She LOVES the Smoke, but now the SPECIALS (dun, dun, dduunn) are here making all the good stuff fall apart. All she wants now is to be with David and the other Smokies. She loves it there and never wants to go back to the City. Now she is going to be forced to go back "home". Her old home. A place that never really felt like a real home. She realizes that now. But it's too late. She thinks of the Smoke as her new home. Her true home. A home worth fighting for! The SPECIALS(dun, dun , duunn) have come and that means that everyone could figure out that she was a spy! The pendent may have set off! She can't find David! Again, sorry about the aperance of my posts. David tells Tally, "What you do, the way you think, makes you beautiful," and made her feel very good. This made me think about the people in my life and what makes them beautiful. I will give you two examples (wether you like it or not). From my home life, I would have to say that my sister is so very beautiful on the inside and the outside. What makes her so beautiful on the iside is that she is so different from the big sisters I know. Instead of screaming at me and arguing with my 24/7, she is patiant and kind to me, and when I've had a rough time at school she lets me complain to her about how school is the worst place ever and then she tells me that I'm almost to high school where everything gets better. This makes me feel better because when I'm a freshman she will be a senior and no one can mess with me without feeling the rath of my senior sister and her senior friends. And having her be there for me through my first breakup isn't so bad ethier ;). she is my best friend and my role model all tied up in one an awsome package. Now on to my academic life. I have few, actually really close to none, good, true, best friends. I actually only have one and I am not going to name her and take away her privacy. But she has stuck with me through thick and thin, hyper and calm, I say that because I have sugar rushes without having any sugar at all, and she has never denied that she knew me or was my friend when ever I have one of my "energy rushes". She has been my best friend since 5th grade and she has always been like a bodyguard in school where my sister isn't. We were seperated last year except for lunch but she still hung out with me and made sure no one made me upset or made fun of me. If they dared to mess with me the wrong way she would beat them up with words. No cuse words, just reallyy smart comebacks to evertyhing they said, I mean she was full of them. Both these people I just told you about are so important in my life that if one was taken from me then my life would be off balance. Especially if my sister d...d...died. >shiver< Now I'm too said to blog much longer so PLEASE MAKE MY DAY AND RESPOND!!

I'm sorry, I think my blog is stuck like this. So, today I thought I would give you a quote and then give you my witty opinion. Here's the quote, "Becoming pretty doesn't just change the way you look...it changes the way you think." This is very powerful. This means that if she were to become pretty, she wouldn't be "her" any more. Now this got me to thinking about what I would want to change mentally and physicaly about myself. Well, for starters, I wish I could understand this language that all boys seem to know from birth, of course I bet all girls wish that. And they call us complicated!? I'm getting off track, I also wish that i could understand technology like my sister. She is a TECH. WIZ! I also wish that I was better at spelling. Physically? Hmm. Well, I definentaly want to have 20:20 vision again. I feel alot prettier without my glasses. I also wish I was alot shorter.Do you know what it's like to be in junior high and be 5'7, hopefully not 'cause it's horrible! I also really wish I wasn't so tender headed. This blog will be in your 2nd favorite color. I've decided to give you a quote and then give you my opinion on it. So, here it is, "But you do Know about genetics don't you? Sure I knew two sisters, uglies, who look almost the same. But parents and childern? That's just wierd." That quote says alot about the city. I think it means that When they take away the way they originally look, as uglies, they can't change their genes but the kids don't see that becuase their parents have been changed. This also means that theey don't teach them in school about that sort of thing. THey also mention the "truth about being pretty". Whatever could that mean!? Well, i think that it means that they change the inside of them that isn't just their muscles or bones but, like, their brain or something, maybe even the way they understand things. Lets think about this more as you RESPOND!!! OH, PLEASE!!!

My blog is still acting wierd so imagine that this post is in your favorite color. So, I was reading when I noticed imagery, personification, and similes. Let me show you what I'm talking about. Here's a simile, "Like walking poison, She killed everything,"and that was founnd on page 244. Here's an example of imagery, "...David led her along it to a cool, flat outcropof stone where a view opened up between the trees." and that was found on page 245. Here's an example of personifacation, "She thought of the orchids spreading across the plains below, choking the life out of other plants, out of the soil itself, selfish and unstoppable." and that was found on page 244. Now, to move on from this small language arts lesson, att the end of this chapter David says he wants Tally to meet his Ps(parents). That calls for some bravery on Tally's part. Why!? Well, it's simple, because thats something you do with your girlfriend. Not only that but they were something like celebritys in the Smoke. I mean, how would you you feel if you were about to meet your favorite actor/actress,when you are actually standing there as he/she is walking toward you?! Nervous, right!? So, yeah, chew over that bit of info. as you RESPOND!! PLEASE!!!

Again, I'm dearly sorry about not having the color,but I can't help it. Anyways! Shay has become very JEALOUS! I know that it is bad to be jealous and I know it's not Tally's fault, but you could tell from the beginning that Shay had a thing for David so I can understand her being jealous. Then when David gives Tally a pair of gloves he had made and had worn when he was younger even though Shay has worked longer and harder than Tally, I would probably feel really jealous, and that's saying something 'cause I am rarely ever jealous. Now I also simpathize with Tally 'cause she didn't ask for the gloves or force David into having a small, tiny crush on her. I have never had people be jealous of me, so I'm not going to say that I know what she's going through or I can imagine 'cause that would be a complete lie. I have some powerful sympathy for both of them but hopefully they will work it out. TIME TO RESPOND!!!

Sorry about my last blog and this one not looking right, my blog site is being mean to me. But now on to more important matters, Tally is starting to earn people's trust and David has cofided in her. Now she wishes that she had activated the pendent when she first got there. 'Why!?' you may ask, well now she knows that she won't just be crushing Shay's dreams. She would be destroying everything that some of these people, like David, know and love. Everything dear to them. That is a big burden that she would have to live with. His parents were doctors and they ran away when they were Middle Pretties. They ran away because they found a ay to reverse the operation, and the SPECIALS (dun! dun! dun!) couldn't have that going around. What? You don't believe me? Here's PROOF!! "They reversed the operation?" "Yes." That is straight from page 218, look it up if you want to. So, yeah, it was either have their minds erased or runaway so they ranaway and reversed their operations. Time to RESPOND. So do it. Now please! NOW PLEASE!!! NOW!? NOW!! RESPOND!!!

Well, I felt like just giving you one of my AMAZING summaries! So, we last left Tally in a blazing fire (how mean are we?!) and she had just met the "bug eyes" and they were hoisting her out of the water. They gae her pure, clean air (they are definitly nicer to her than we were!). One of them took off his mask and it turned out that he was a new prettie. He then put her in the "flying machine" where she found out that they all were new pretties. They lifted off and as they flew she saw that they were spreding the fire. Come to find out the lovely white flowers are one of the worst weeds EVER!!! They burned them because it was the only thing that works. They asked her if she was going to the Smoke. As it turns out, they help the runaways get to the meeting where Smokies meet them. The Smokies don't trust pretties so they don't take them straight to the smoke. When she got off, she found that her hoverboard was useless here but the hike was nice. Everything she had was now dry so she went and found the meeting place and she waited unable to sleep because of what she knew was coming. Now since I'm such a nic person I'm also going to try to explain a quote for you. This is the quote, "...Tally was stuck out here in the wild forever. Ugly for life. Her only way home was to betray her friend." This quote makes me think that she really wishes she didn't have to be in this possition. PLEASE RESPOND!!!

I chose this color cause it reminds me of fire and the chapter we are currently chatting about is called "Firestorm", so, yeah. This chapter has aLOT of good language arts-type, school stuff, like imagery, personification, and similes. What!? You don't know what any of that stuff is!? Well, since I'm such a nice person, I'll give you an example of each, from the book of course. First imagery, "Then a tearing noise filled the air, the crackle of dry brush inflamed, and the smell of smoke swept over Tally, bringing her suddenly and completely awake."(pg.172) Next is personifacation, "The fire was growing stronger. Fingers of it shot up the hill, leaping from one beautiful flower to another, leaving them scorched and black."(pg.172) Last but not least is a simile, "Her footsteps ignited with flame as she ran through the blackend flowers, like stabbing a poker into a slumbering fire."(pg.173) So, now you understand. PLEASE RESPOND!!! PLEASE, OH PLEASE!!

Tally and Shay find a magazine with a picture of a model that is way to thin for their society. They also think of some messed up stuff about our present day life. They think that we were ALL ugly, how insulting now my self confidence has dropped some, even the movie stars! But they were right about one thing. That one thing is ANIREXIA!! They learned about that terriable disease in school and they learned right! They were also probably right about that model having it. Many models have it and many movie stars have died from or still have it. So, yeah, they were right. Thats it. PLEASE RESPOND!! See I learned how to use the bolder-thingy.

David. That's what we're discusing tonight, David. Well I, personally, think him and Shay have somethig going on. But that is an entirely different story. Back on topic, David is very sweet and very...well, just plain awsome toward Tally. He is very passionate about keeping the Smoke a secret. He loves the Smoke with a burning passion! HA, I'm just kidding, but he does love the Smoke. He's, like , the go-to guy for the teens and runaways. He is VERY cool, calm, and collected. I know I probably scared you a little when I started the info. right away, but I didn't want to lolygag. So, once I had this big pile of homework (not literally a pile, you know what I mean) But I'd rather read this really good book I from the library than do all that homework (and by the way most of that homework was math and I HATE math). But I had to do it so I did! See that was a good story( if you didn't think so then please just play along). Well i was thinking if i were Tally what food would i want to eat? Well I thought and thought and got distracted and then thought again and came up with......FIED RICE AND SESAME CHICKEN IN A BAG!! What you do is you poor the rice into the water purifier and put the chicken on a solar panel in the sun. Sounds tastey, right? RIGHT?? RIGHT!? Anyways if i were Tally I would miss alot of stuff. Like a hot shower, my warm bed, food variety, pajamas, a roof over my head when I sleep and bathe, oh, and my family. I would probablymiss other things but I can't think of them right now. Okay, instead of me going off and blah,blah, blahing I'm going to just give you a quick and simple summary. So here it goes. So Tally decides to go along with SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES(dun, dun, duunnn) and tell them all she knows. She pings them and they come and get her. But when she gets there and tells them everything they say that she must go get Shay herself! They give her some supplies to take with her. Then DR.CABLE(dun, dun, duuunnn) gives her a necklace that she should activate when she gets to "THE SMOKE". Tally is hesitant to say yes. So DR.CABLE(dun, dun, duuunnn) shows her a mirror and says that if she doesn't do it she will look that way FOREVER, EVER, EVER. So she agrees. Now I think that DR.CABLE(dun, dun, duuunnn) is veryevil for making tally choose between her two favorite things, having Shay as a friend and becoming pretty.Well I'm getting mad just thinking about this woman so I'm going to leave so I don't take my anger out on you. Hey! Okay now that we've greeted each other, time to get to explaining this book to ya'll. And for anyone that might be from up north or whatever, that's how we talk in Texas so get used to it! So anyhow, in the chapter I just read Paris returns (bum, bum, buuummmm). Now, you may ask yourself 'Why would he do this?' Well the answer in my eyes is quit simple. No matter how pretty his mind is he and Tally are always going to be best-friends-forever. And when she hadn't become pretty yet he probably got worried, or as worried as a "happy" pretty can be. I was reading when I saw this quote and really wanted to tell you about it. So LISTEN UP 'cause I am going to tell you what it is. Are you listening? Good! Now here it is. "Everywhere she went, eyes looked away. But it was themost visible she'd ever felt." This has some deep meaning. unfortunently I have no clue what that deep meaning is. If I did don't you think I'd teel you? There is some meaning that even I could see. So the meaning I found is that some peope think that if no one looks at you means you are invisible. Okay, well, I'm reading all about the SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES. What? You don't know what SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES is? Well instead of me trying to explain it, let me just summarize the chapter. You, hopfully, remember where we left off last. A creepy, stalker dude tells Tally that there are some complications with her operation. He takes her to a strange place with a bunch of strange, creepy people. She finds out that this dude is part of some kind of thing called SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES (dun dun dun dduuunnn). They want her to batray Shay and turn her in. Tally says she won't do it!!! So this mean, bad, evilish, extra creepy lady named DR. CABLE (dun dun dun ddduuunnn) says that she won't turn Tally pretty if she doesn't!! So now you know. Now lets focus on this DR.CABLE (dun dun dun ddduuunnn). She is pretty much, in one word summary, EEEVVIILLL(EVIL)!!!! Or for our nicer viewers: very, very, very, very MEAN!!!! She threatens Tally for one. She thinks she is, like, Queen of the world or something and she actually trys to make people think she cares about them. Which she doesn't!! She is like a venus fly trap. She lures them in and then eats them alive!! So yeah I'm going to leave before I take my anger out on you. PLEASE, OH PRETTY PLEASE RESPOND!!!

Tally stands and waits for the hovercar thingy to pick her up. As she waits a new ugly asks her why she looks sad if she is about to turn pretty. This makes her think about all the things she should have said to make Shay stay. The hover-whatcha-ma-call-it comes and picks her up. she lands, wishing she could ask themiddle pretty to stay with her but doesn't. As she waits, wondering if they always make uglies wait for hours, a man, no older than a middle pretty, walks in. This man is beautiful but scary at the same time. he tells her that there are some problems with her surgery and she needs to follow him. HA! Did you likehow I just jumped in to the summary?..... Hey, guess what! The chapter I'm reading is called fight,...and Tally and Shay have a fight. Har de har har! Okay technicly there ar two fights, but you get the idea. So anyways tme to TRY to be serious. These TWO fights are both different and simialar. They are simialar because, I don't know, 'cause they are both about becoming pretty. Oh and they are both have Shay on the "dislike" side and Tally on the "like" side. But they are also very, very different in many ways. Like, one endswith them cooling off pretty fast. While the other one ends with Shay storming away. also one was more in depth and the other was fast and simple. One takes placee in a library and one takes place at the beach. This quote popped out at me so I thought you'd like to haerit,or read it. So here it is, "That was one thhing about being outside the city: It made all that nature stuff they taught in school seem alot more useful. She remembered now how rainwater fell on the mountains and soakedinto the ground..." To me this means that, even in the future, the things about nature you learn in school can seem important to you later. Well again I thought I'd give you a summary, so here I go: Tally and Shay make it to the Rustie Ruins. Tally is amazed at how they look at night.Shay shows Tally a rollercoaster that amazes Tally so much she can't stand it. Shay and Tally ride down it and Tally gets really scared when she sees that the track is missing a few bars. Tally gets mad at Shay but later cools down. Shay says she wants Tally to meet someone and rides up to the top of a building. She lights a saftey sparkler. She and Tally then wait. So what did you think? Don't answer that!!! I also decided to show you two similes. One: "The two friends slid between theruined buildings, riding high and silent as if not to disturb the goshts of the dead city."(pg.61) Two:"The Rusties had been stuck in these streets like hordes of rats in a burning maze."(pg.61) All done.RESPOND PLEASE!!!!

In the book Tally says, "I kind of like being fooled about somethings." I do not agree. The only reason I'd want to be fooled is if my life would be in danger if I knew. In the book Shay and Tally visit the Rusty Ruins. The Rusty Ruins, if you havn't realized it yet, is an old town from the ,like, the 21st century.The town was destroyed in some kind of disaster. During this time their were too many people on the earth.So on to a lighter subject. Peer pressure has been expressed in this book ALREADY. So I think this would be a good time to explain it in my own words. So here it goes, peer pressure can be a good thing or a bad thing it just depends on how you use it. I, luckly, have never experienced bad peer pressure. I have experienced good peer pressure though. It has always worked out, but i may experience it someday. Please respond. Some quotes really made me think. let me show you. "Making ourselves feel ugly is not fun...."

"This whole game is designed to makeus hate ourselves." These words said by Shay are very true to me. I do not like feeling ugly, which I usually do, and a game designed to change you to make you "prettier" does not sound like a good time. "Everyone judged everyone else based on on their appearance. Taller people got better jobs ......people killed one another over stuff like having different skin color."(reffering to when everyone was ugly)This quote is talking about now and before Martin Luther King Jr. ended discrimination. I think this quote is quite factual. People nowadays do judge alot on appearance. And "It's the only way to make people equal"(reffering to becomeing pretty) This quote isn't completely true in my eyes because people don't all need to be pretty to be equal. In the book Tally learns to hoverboard. This reminded me of a movie you may not know. It's called BACK TO THE FUTURE 2. In it they ride hoverboards like skateboard. Actually they're just like skateboard just instead of wheels they hover. Now moving on. I was wandering why don't new pretties visit Uglyville. I think it's because they are so focused on having fun that they don't remember to visit their ugly friends. I also think they don't visit because they don't want to be exposed to the ugly faces. Well, I thought I'd give you a summary of this chapter. So here it goes, Tally is now running away from the party after pulling the fire alarm and bungee jumping off the roof. She is crawling through the garden WITHOUT her mask. she sees wardens flying above her in hover cars and surounding her inthe garden. They can't see her. She runs into a girl named Shay and they escape together. Now that you know a little about Tally and Shay met lets focus on Shay. I think she is alot like Tally and that will make them get along better. Well in the book Tally has to bungee jump off a building. Now you may be asking yourself 'Why would they let dumb prettys bungee jump.' Well the answer is simple, if you were on the top of a building's roof and the building caught on fire, would you rather jump safely off or take the stairs If you chose the stairs then I hope you are neveron the roof of a burning building. While I was reading the book, I started to think of ways to characterize Tally. Here's what I came up with-Tally is a sweet and kind girl who is obssesed with becoming pretty. Tally misses her friend Peris but is trying to live with it till she is pretty. I was also thinking of a short way to characterize Peris.Well, this is what I came up with: Peris used to have inner beauty but when he became pretty he lost at least 50% of his kindness and generosity. Now I think that their friendship was good and all but I think they are having arough patch. I mean they're true friends that need to work out the "bugs" in their realationship.If they weren't true friends he would have been cold and heartless,right? enough of what I think, respond and tell me what you think. Now if you have ever read the Uglies (or even if you haven't 'cause I'm telling you anyways) then you rememberthat Tally, the main character, has a friend named Paris who became pretty and moved to New Pretty Town. Well, like her I've had a friend abandon me. But they didn't move they just stopped being nice to me out of the blue. Like we'd be friends in 2nd grade but afew days into 3rd they'd just start to avoid me. But hey enough about my sad, elementery life, you may not understand some of the things in the book. Well that's where I come in. I am going to try to ease some of your pain and tell you what three things mean. one, an inter face ring is like a future-type of tracking device that is in the form of a ring that you can take off. Two, a toothbrush pill is like a pill you chew instead of getting a toothbrush and doing it manualy. And three, acacophony, I think, is like some kind of loud noise. I'm reading the book Uglies, and it got me thinking about true beauty. People think beauty is about apperance, but true beauty is not. True beauty is not about how you look, it's how you live. Now I'm not saying that being pretty is a bad thing but don't let that be your main focus. I mean why do you think people say, "It's the inside that counts."Some people think it wold be great if everyone was "beautiful", especially guys, but I like the way everyone looks different.But a world where everyone has true beauty would be good and bad.Nowyoumay be thinking, 'How could a world where everyone is nice be bad," but a world without challenges is kind of boring if you think about it. An example of something I find beautiful is a pug. Now I know not many people find these great dogs but I find them to be cute and cuddly. Now some of you may be asking 'What does this strange person find ugly if she thinks pugs are cute?' Well, the answer is this, cats. Now you cat lovers may be about to turn off my blog, but hold on and hear my logic. I've had atleast 2 mean evil cats but I don't hate all cats, just the evil ones "that steal your soul" said by the wise Mr.Winbrinner.
